Telephone System

We have recently changed our telephone system which will hopefully allow patients to access the members of staff in a quicker way.  We are aware that this is totally different to our old system, which could not cope with the demand of calls and we think we were having some callers contacting the surgery and not being dealt with. 

On contacting the surgery calls will be automatically answered and a selection of Options will then be available.
Option 1 for Appointments
Option 2 for Prescriptions. If you need to speak to the Prescription clerk about a query/problem you must ring between 9- 1pm
Option 3 for Test Results - this service is manned between 8.30 - 1
Option 4 Requesting Home Visits - this service is manned between 9-1 - if the request is after this time the caller should re-dial and select Option 1
Option 5 to speak to the Secretary - secretaries work between 8.30 - 1 p.m.

 

The Practice has a Patient Participation Group. 

Patient Participation Groups are an effective way for patients and GP surgeries to work together to promote health and improved quality of care. If you would like to be a member of our group please contact ppg.merchefordhouse@nhs.net

Health Trainer available:

Unfortunately we do not have a Health Trainer attached to the surgery at present but if you would like to find out more about this service please ring ChangePoint on 0333 005 0093.
