Clinics & Services

Nurse Practitioner - - Sarah Lewis who is able to see patients with any minor ailment - Coughs, Colds, Sore throat, Earache, Rashes, Conjunctivitis, other simple eye problems, Urine infections, Hayfever, Bites.  She does not see under 1's.

Our specialist clinics are mostly run by our own nurses who have specific and ongoing training in that particular area.  

Asthma and COPD

asthmaVikki Shipp is trained in this area and sees our patients on our Asthma and COPD register.  She is able to undertake a thorough assessment of the condition and medication, including spirometry where necessary. 

Cervical Smears

These should be booked in to the Treatment Room to be seen by the Practice Nurse.

Child Immunisation

At the present time these are being undertaken on Tuesday mornings, please contact the surgery for more details.

Contraceptive Services

If you require an annual "PILL" check then you should make an appointment in the Treatment Room rather than with a GP for contraceptive services.  Although we do not fit contraceptive coils we have the opportunity to refer into another March Practice or to Parkview for this procedure to be done within the March area. 

Coronary Heart Disease

All our nurses undertake a clinic for those on our CHD register. It monitors all aspects of the condition from lifestyle through to medication, in liaison with the GP where necessary.

Diabetes Clinic

Denise Fordham is trained in this area and see our patients on our diabetic register. It provides regular monitoring of all aspects of diabetic care, in cooperation with the GPs and the hospital clinics.

Automated Blood pressure Machine

The Surgery has an automated blood pressure machine which will allow patients who have stable blood pressure to come in and have their blood pressure taken.  All blood pressure readings are seen by the patient's registered GP and a subsequent telephone call will be received.  The machine is available Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 6.00 pm

Smoking Cessation

A member of the local CAMQUIT Stop Smoking team provides clinics at the surgery on a Tuesday morning. If this is not convenient we are still able to signpost patients to alternative providers - CAMQUIT in other locations and Local Pharmacists

Flu Vaccinations

All our nurses and healthcare assistants take part in the annual flu vaccination programme.  This is a free flu jab for all patients over the age of 65 or who suffer from one of the at risk groups.  Appointments for the flu vaccinations are available from Reception in September. 

Minor Eye Problems

If you have a recent problem with your eyes such as sore eyes, red eyes or visual disturbance, you can be assessed and treated by the Minor Eye Conditions Service. Local Contraceptive Clinic

The nearest clinic is situated at Holland House, 28 Elwyn Road, March. Telephone 01354  602915/602910.  A Young Persons (under 25years) Drop-in Clinic is held on alternative Mondays 14:30 – 20:30.
